New Website Launched (www.oxclove.com)

On May 1st, 2005, Oxclove Workshop had the pleasure of participating in an international Web Design event known as May 1 Reboot. This non-profit collective event, now in its fifth year, invites web designers from across the globe to reshape the future of Web Design. It is meant to inspire the global online community to revisit, reevaluate and possibly revamp the ever-changing needs and functions of the World Wide Web. Most importantly, May 1 Reboot is a celebration of the richness of the online community, of its creativity and of its diversity. Oxclove Workshop answered this call-to-arms by joining with approximately 1,000 other creatives to globally merge through the digital arena. We look forward to publicly showcasing our talents with the best of the industry in the Mays to come.

More exciting news about out flagship product VISCO:

Venture Information System - VISCOThe Venture Information System was showcased on May 18th, 2005, at Baruch College’s Weisman Center for International Business. The program was sponsored by NEXCO (www.nexco.org), an international trade association that has provided information and support to New York City’s global trade community since 1963. Other presenting organizations included Schott North America, Inc., and the US Council for International Business.

The primary focus of the program, part of World Trade Week observances throughout the United States, was on customs compliance. VIS was demonstrated as an invaluable tool; not only for the tracking of documents, but their contents as well. While there is clear value in having quick and easy access to the documents associated with a particular shipment, the audience was most impressed with the fact that VIS actually uses the information these documents contain to provide extremely detailed costing information, supply chain visibility, and other information essential to a successful import & distribution business.

VISCO participates in global trade events whenever the opportunity arises. For information on future events, please call (845) 383-3800, ext. 111, or email us at info@ventureinformationsystem.com. http://www.ventureinformationsystem.com

Search Engine OptimizationSearch Engine Optimization
Search Engine Optimization, also known as SEO, is the process of increasing the amount of visitors to a Web site by ranking high in the search results of a search engine. The higher a Web site ranks in the results of a search, the greater the chance that that site will be visited by a user. It is common practice for Internet users to not click through pages and pages of search results, so where a site ranks in a search is essential for directing more traffic toward the site. SEO helps to ensure that a site is accessible to a search engine and improves the chances that the site will be found by the search engine.

The algorithms that search engines use to rank websites is constantly changing. But right now, the very best thing that you can do for your website is to insure that the words that people might use to find your site are included in the copy itself. And that is something that website owners can do for themselves (if you're not maintaining your website content yourself, give us a call to learn how we can get you going with some easy do-it-yourself content tools). Of course, there are several other aspects of the website that can help. Click here to learn more about our SEO services.

E-Newsletters
An e-newsletter can be used to boost e-commerce on your website, attract viewers who don’t regularly visit your site, target specific audiences, and much more.

Some people don’t have time to keep coming back to your web site to see if there is anything new. An e-newsletter is an inexpensive and effective way to push information to busy people in order to maintain your marketing visibility and pull them to revisit your site.

An e-newsletter also has the option of being sent to a specific audience, allowing you to target specific viewers to visit specific sites. For example, if you have a non profit site an e-newsletter would be a valuable tool to send to volunteers to attract them to visit your site and sign up for a fundraising event.

Besides the increase in viewers that an e-newsletter will bring to your website, it can also be a way to reduce costs. If you are currently mailing newsletters to your customers an e-newsletter will allow your company to experience a drastic reduction in postage costs. E-newsletters are easy to maintain and only entail an initial set up fee, opposed to postage newsletters which require you pay each time they are mailed out.
