Dance Tent

The Clearwater Festival is a dance festival unlike any other. Foot-stomping and hip-shaking beats symbolize the fun and free spirited atmosphere of the festival. New wave and old age sounds meant to tickle eardrums and move feet are only two of the culturally diverse rhythms of the dance tent. Ranging from blues to rock, reggae to salsa, bluegrass to jazz, and funk to folk, Clearwater knows how to put the force into saving a river while dancing to the sounds of zydeco and swing.

While world renowned and skilled instructors like Jana Eisenberg have mixed it up in recent years, this year, the self-taught and dance wannabes will participate in unveiling the rhythm of the music through the expression of the body.

Two tents solely devoted to the graceful, and exciting art of dance are open from early morning, to evening. Andre Thierry & Zydeco Magic will be back by popular demand. Sol y Canto, Entrain, and Charivari with Randi Vidrine will pull the sounds of the festival together, and harmonize the efforts of the audience in Contract, Square, Latin and Zydeco movements.
