Assortment Voyager Cruise Ship Profile and Photo Tour

Overview of This Variety Voyager

Do you want to feel like among those wealthy and famous, even if it’s only for a week? Sailing the French and Italian Rivieras about the M/Y Variety Voyager of Variety Cruisessurely provides you a feeling of what it is like to have your own (nearly ) personal mega-yacht. The 223-foot, 72-passenger boat either docks or anchors offshore interesting ports, a lot of which are only available to little ships. It is a terrific way to experience another sort of cruising.

The M/Y Variety Voyager is Variety Cruises’ newest Båt and was launched in the summer of 2012. She brings the total number of small ships in the Variety fleet to eleven, seven of which cruise the Mediterranean, West Africa, the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean. The other four Variety Cruises’ ships are little yachts (8-12 guests) readily available for charter.

The Variety Cruises’ ships sail several different itineraries from the Mediterranean. A number of the quaint, miniature cruise ports seldom find a cruise ship since Variety Cruisesspecializes in fascinating ports not frequently visited by larger boats.

Cabins about the Variety Voyager – Overview

The 223-foot M/Y Variety Voyager includes 36 cottages , varying in size from 170 to 216 square feet. The mega-yacht conveys up to 72 guests. The cottages are spread over three decks. Not one of the cabins have balconies, but have large dividers or oversize portholes. The cottages are outfitted with 220-volt plugs.

The cottages come in five classes:

Owner’s Suite – 1 suite on the Horizon Deck
Upper Deck (class P) – seven cottages on the Horizon Deck
Category A – eleven cottages on the Riviera Deck
Category B – ten cottages around the Riviera and Marina Decks
Category C – seven cottages on the Marina Deck
Let us visit a Variety Voyager class A cottage.

The majority of the cottages on the Variety Voyager could be installed with either double or queen-sized beds and mostly sleep two, but five of the group P cabins have an excess sofa bed. Every cottage in most types has its individually-controlled air conditioning (that we had on our summer Mediterranean cruise), small fridge, safe, bathrobes, flat screen tv, DVD player, and a hairdryer.

Our group A cottage (#205) was located on the Riviera Deck. The cottage was comfortable but may use more drawers (or perhaps merely hooks to hang items on) for storage. We’d sufficient closet space to get a one-week cruise, but just four miniature drawers (2 in each one of the 2 nightstands). The cottage also has a little desk along with settee, which we used to pile things on because we did not have sufficient drawer space. The cruise line urges packing light, also on a casual boat like the Variety Voyager guests do not really require any formal clothing, although most everybody changed from the casual shorts for supper and a couple of guys brought sport jackets.

Like many little cruise ships, the sleeping places around the Variety Voyager are relatively streamlined, but the toilet is surprisingly wonderful.

The marble-floored bath in a class A cottage on the Variety Voyager is bigger than many small cruise ships. It’s a massive glass and Corian shower, with a number of the most powerful water pressure found on a boat of any size. The shower includes a hand-held and overhead rain shower heads, and expert cruisers will detect and enjoy this fantastic shower.

Now that we have toured the cottages, let us look at the dining room choices on the Variety Voyager.

Dining about the Variety Voyager

All foods on the Variety Voyager are served at the aft dining area on the Horizons Deck. The dining area has both indoor and outdoor seating, and many guests eat outside almost each meal on a cruise of the Mediterranean.

Dining outside is always a real plus! Lunch and breakfast are equally served buffet style. Dinner is out of a menu with items set except the primary course, which typically includes at least two choices (poultry, fish, beef, pork, or fish ) and a vegetarian choice.

The food has been good to excellent, particularly given the dimensions of this boat. Breakfast has all of the typical favorites, but make sure you try out the superb Greek yogurt.

Lunch comes with a huge array of delicious sandwiches, a soup, and a choice of hot dishes on the buffet, in addition to dessert. A favourite lunch dish is enormous grilled shrimp. Among those chefs grills them out on the deck, and everybody went back into the grill a few times for one more plate full. They’re perfectly cooked!

Most everybody dressed up a bit for supper, and guests loved eating outside and taking in the fresh Mediterranean atmosphere.

Then let us look at the actions on this little cruise boat.

Activities Onboard the Variety Voyager

Like most quite small cruise ships, the Variety Voyager does not provide much in the manner of onboard entertainment. But this lack is surely offset by the chance to explore enchanting, off-the-beaten-path ports of call. The boat also has two onboard activities you’ll never discover on a massive boat.

The mega-yacht (72 guests) comes with an onboard computer keyboard player and DJ who entertains in the primary lounge before dinner and dinner outside from the Oceans Bar after supper.

The Variety Voyager has comfortable sun lounges around the Oceans Deck for people who adore the sunlight, but there’s also a few shaded seating on the outside decks and at the al fresco dining room.

Indoor activities include socializing, studying, or using a coffee and snacks from the beautiful principal lounge. This gorgeous place includes a pub, and coffee/tea/snacks are also constantly available. The reception desk is located at 1 corner of the sofa.

The Variety Voyager includes a little spa, beauty salon, and indoor gym on the Marina deck. Additionally about the Marina deck would be the little library and Internet Center using three desktop computers. According to many boats, the Internet service isn’t quite as quickly as onshore.

Which are both onboard actions you won’t find on big ships? First is the chance to see the navigation bridge any moment. Simply drop in, and also the friendly captain will provide you a private tour. The Captain and crew on the Variety Voyager are very approachable, adding into the personal yacht-like experience. The next action you won’t find on a massive cruise boat is swimming directly from the ship. After the boat is at anchor rather than at a crowded harbor, the Captain enables guests to climb the ladder down (or leap in) and go swimming at the bright blue Mediterranean.

The Variety Voyager is a gorgeous mega-yacht and is nicely made for sailing to ports that are inaccessible to large cruise ships. The little ship experience permits travelers to get to understand their shipmates and team better. The global flavor of the boat, together with guests from many distinct nations, also increases the unforgettable cruise experience. Even seeing the exact ports as big ships is not the same onshore encounter whenever you aren’t sharing the space with tens of thousands of other people.

With just 72 guests onboard, there’s never a line, and it can be a definite plus for most travelers.

Who would not like to journey on a very small boat like the Variety Voyager? Anyone who enjoys cruising due to the amusement, gaming, or varied dining room and lounge places, might overlook those actions on the Variety Voyager. Anyone with mobility problems may also have a difficulty since Zodiacs are utilized to tender guests ashore at several ports of call. Even though the boat has covered lifeboats similar to those found on big cruise ships, the Variety Voyager team uses two Zodiacs to tender the guests .

Most travelers adore this small ship and begin planning their next Variety Cruises encounter prior to the cruise is complete. That speaks well of the boat and fishing line, does not it?
